Select Week 6 - Chapter 10 Week 6 - Chapter 10 One of the most important responsibilities managers/supervisors have is motivating employees to perform well. Many organizations fail due to poor performance of its workers, which often is caused by a lack of motivation. Consider the following statement and respond based on the material in the text and you own personal experience. “There is no such thing as an ‘un-motivated’ employee, every person is motivated to do well. It is the responsibility of managers/supervisors to know and understand both the motivation processes and make-up of their employees so that workers are indeed motivated to perform well”. You are to submit your initial input by Wednesday evening. You are to return to the DB between Thursday and Sunday, read several responses from fellow students, and respond to at least one. From my personal experience I have to say that this quote is wrong. There are many unmotivated employees in society today. Even though it is the managers/supervisors job to motivate the employees there will always be those few individuals that you just can’t please. When you run into this situation that’s when you need to look at if they are helping or hurting the
