Crossing the Threshold - Theseus leaves Athens on the black sailed ship with the seven young maidens and six other young men for Crete. Initiation Road of Trials - He escapes the labyrinth using the spool of thread that Ariadne gave him,defeated the Minotaur that resided in the labyrinth, successfully dodges Talus, the Brass Man, escaping from Crete.   Women as Temptress - Ariadne offers Theseus an escape from Crete when he was being held in the dungeon. Return Crossing of Return Threshold- While Theseus is sailing to return home with the six other young men and seven maidens, they celebrate and forget to change to the black sails. Waiting for his son's return the King Aegeus sees the black sailed ship returning. Thinking his son died, he jumps off a cliff in despair. Freedom to Live- Returning to the sudden death of his father, Theseus is crowned King of Athens and was loved by all the people during his rule....
