William Shepardson The top-level objects of the microwave are smaller components working together that do the actual work. The graphical user interface (or GUI) is a device containing components such as a L.E.D display, menus, buttons and, boxes allowing users to interact with the larger device the GUI is attached to. This will allow the user to make choices and issue commands in a simple, intuitive way. Top Level Objects Communicates With Incoming Messages Outgoing Messages Control panel All top level objects Open/closed door, oven on/off all user settings, manual/programmed All time/ temperature/setting /start/stop/clear etc. LED display Control panel All time/ temperature/setting /start/stop/clear etc. All time/ temperature/setting /start/stop/clear etc. Turntable Control panel Open or closed door, oven on, oven off Turn when oven on, stop when oven off Fan Control panel Open or closed door, oven on, oven off Turn when oven on, stop when oven off Magnetron Control panel Open or closed door, oven on, oven off
