Motivation Evaluation 2 Motivation Evaluation Marilyn Monroe : The person that I have chosen to write about is Norma Jeane Mortensen (later baptized as Norma Jeane Baker) but better known as Marilyn Monroe. The reason that I chose her was because she led a very complex and tragic but interesting life. The Motivation Theory that I am going to use to profile her is called Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This theory divides the human needs and wants into 5 different levels such as physiological needs, security and safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self actualization needs. Physiological Needs : growing up some of her physiological needs weren’t always met for Marilyn because she was shuffled around a bit in foster care, such as pain avoidance because her parents left her behind, thus she grew up with abandonment issues as well. In addition to that she also suffered from abuse from her various foster parents both mental and physical too. I am
