The origins can be traced back to the 1600s during the time of the Puritans and individuals who were referred to as Congressionalists. Even after implementation of this educational system, children were still being taught at home by their parents even though it was not a lawfully permitted action in a number of locations. Through the years, the traditional school system has undergone many changes; possibly one of the most noticeable alterations is the preference of parents to re-visit their option to educate their children at home instead of forcing them to attend public facilities. Parents are increasingly becoming more aware of the many benefits this type ofTo make reading easy, writers follow standard formatting guidelines. Although formats vary within different schools at Kaplan, the Universitys default format is based on APA: one-inch margins; Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font (APA demands Times New Roman, but most professors accept either); double-spacing; paragraph indentation of one-half inch (one Tab); removal of extra spaces between paragraphs; and plain APA title page Is the purpose of your paper informative or persuasive? It sounds like you are trying to convince the reader of your idea. This is persuasive writing. In an informative writing, stay away from judgments about which type of school is better. This paragraph should be about designed home curriculums. The paragraphs should follow the order of key points in the thesis. Avoid phrases that refer to the paper itself. Simply let the ideas speak for themselves. Avoid starting sentences with "There" or "It," which can lead to passive voice. See the attached feedback form for more information on this. You have not reached your first key point yet. Save direct quotes for the middle of paragraphs, surrounded by your own original writing. Does "their" mean parents or children? This sounds biased. What proof do you have that this is true? Use research to support your ideas. This semi-colon doesn't quite work. Please review semi-colon use on the attached feedback form. A good paragraph has at least 5 sentences: a topic sentence, 3 supporting details, and a sentence that concludes or transitions. This seems short, so consider adding more.
