STRC 1111 Self Evaluation of Public Speaking Performance Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is for each student to improve his/her public speaking skills by viewing and analyzing a recorded presentation of his/her own speech. While the primary focus of this analysis is the student’s delivery, all the skills needed for a good presentation will be addressed. Criteria : 1. Your answers should be typed and single-spaced. 2. Your answers should be numbered. 3. Your analysis should be no more than 2 pages. 4. Your evaluation is due Fri., 2/18 5. This assignment is worth 15 points. An “A” paper will use specific examples to illustrate answers. An “A” paper will use the specific terminology used in the textbook and in class. An “A” paper will not simply answer the questions “yes” or “no.” Answer the following questions: 1. Was the mode of presentation extemporaneous? (Did you rely on your notes too much? Did you make a sufficient amount of eye contact?) 2. Was your voice appropriately loud?
