In a society where murder, rape, kidnapping, molestation, and crime in general are on the rise, to consider banning the death penalty seems unreasonable. People say that it is inhumane, cruel, and torture to condemn someone to a death sentence, but how about the pain and suffering these people caused their victims and their love ones in order to receive this judgment in the first place? It has been proven that in other countries where your hand is cut off if you steal or you are dragged into the streets and stoned to death for rape or murder, the crime rate is so much lower due to the severe consequences. I’m not saying that this is the way I want our country to be run, but what do you think is going to happen in this society if the death penalty is done away with as a repercussion? The way our death penalty is set up and carried out as of right now definitely needs to be reevaluated. There have been many mishaps and side effects to the way the current death penalty is being carried out, such as extended death times, mishandled injections,
