Unformatted text preview: Basics for Creating Your Gen Ed e-Portfolio Step 1: Get Informed Read the “Info for Students" on the ePortfollo page on the SLCC website: www.siccedulgenedleportfolio. Read the Student ePorffolio Handbook that is linked from the “info for Students" page. Step 2: Pick a Platform Choose from three college-supported piatforms: Yola, Wordpress, or Weebly. A platform is a free, online tool you will ' use to build your ePortfoiio » The Student ePortfolio' Handbook will help you decide which platform might work best for you. Step 3: Watch the Video Tutorials Visit the specially designed help site for that platform (one forYola, one forWordpress, and one torWeebly), once you’ve chosen an ePortfollo platform. There are tutoriais in the hetp sttes that offer step-by-step instructions for building your ePortfolio. The links to the heip sites can be found on the “Info for Students" page, or simply visit: wwwstccegortfolto.yoiasiteccom ' wwwslccegorttotio.wordgresscom www.siccegorttolioweeotycom Step 4: Build Your ePortfolio Watch alt of the video tutorials for your platform, and use them to build your ePortfolio as instructed. Remember to follow the standard ePortfolio outline described in the Student ePortfolio Handbook and the tutoriats. After you have followed the outline, use your creativity and style to choose a design that tooks both professionat and fits your personality — this is your ePortfollo, so make it yours. Step 5: Enter the-Address of Your ePortfoiio into MyPage Copy the URL (address) for the Welcome page of your ePortfollo, log into MyPage, click on the Student Tab, locate the ePorttotio channel at the bottom of the page, paste the URL for your ePortfolio's Weicome page into the ePortfolio channei, and click “save."
