Matt Serna Ms. Davis Intro to Film December 13, 2010 Midterm Paper Movies are more than movies to me, I refer to movies sometimes as “cinematic adventures”, because that’s what they are, they take you to a whole new world. The big boom of the movie industry came during the great depression, people used movies to try and escape their troubled lives of poverty. Movies are such an amazing thing in our lifes, if we didn’t have movies, I would be reading a book, and I’d rather not. So my favorite, cinematic adventure is really almost impossible to narrow down. So I’ll just share a few of them, and why they are important to me. First off I have to say, The Hurt Locker is one of the best movies I have ever seen, maybe even the best movie ever. Everything about it was superb. Jeremy Renners acting, and the cinematography is nearly flawless. The message that was being relayed during the movie, is how war can be a drug.
