Option A Letter to the Editor of the Birmingham News, My name is Mary Smith and I wanted to write to you to tell you about how nice of a trip I had to London last month. Taking the train from Birmingham to London and then back after visiting my son in London was the best experience of my life. What I find so interesting about the trip is that a few years ago I would not even have thought of going to London. But since the expansion of the railroad my children have moved to many different parts of England. I always thought our children would live near us here in Birmingham and have their own small farms. I thought they would marry and work on their farms and have children. I thought that I would be able to see my children and grandchildren as they spent their lives close to our farm in Birmingham. But since the railroads came to England my children have left our family home for jobs in cities all around England to work in the cities and factories and one son in the mines. My daughter has moved to Glasgow. I know that I will be able to visit her next year because
