Time Magazine “Man of the Year” John F. Kennedy November 1963 I have decided the man of the year for 1963 should be John F Kennedy, he was our thirty fifth president and he won America’s heart. Kennedy also started a lot of change in the United States that other presidents left untouched. Kennedy was not scared to go after what he believed in and to push the issues that blurred the lines that so long had been drawn in black and white. President Kennedy made the lines blurry and allowed the world to be seen in color. Born of Irish descent, John F. Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917. He graduated from Harvard in 1940, and entered the Navy. In 1943, when his PT boat was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer, Kennedy, led the survivors through dangerous waters to safety. Once he got back from the war, he became a Democratic Congressman for the Boston area, advancing in 1953 to the Senate. Kennedy met Jacqueline Bouvier later to become his wife and first lady on September 12,
