2 Just Desert The introduction to my paper is going to explain what I think just desert means and how it affects the offender and also how it does good for the victims. The term just desert is often misspelled by just deserts. The individual that committed a crime is responsible for there own actions and no one else. That individual is fully responsible for just there own part in the crime if more then one person was involved. People who are repeating the crime or crimes over and over again will get penalized and in some states if you come back with the same crime they give you three strikes and then you will do life with out parole. When people are getting sentenced the judge will look at the crime and determine if the person is a threat or not and they will be classified. That crime will also determine the punishment. The punishment should fit the specific offender and not the offence. They also look at the crime and the conditions surrounding the crime. Some of the
