Taylor Wesley 3/29/11 ENG 0305 Lab 10 Establishing Schema Part I: Introduction to Schema I have read and annotated the article. Part II: Developing Schema 1. The argument of the whole selection, “Simple Advice: Let Kids be Kids” is that there are children in the world who are feeling pressured with structured activities and they do not have time to really have fun and be a kid while they still can. When kids have fun and play around, it helps their mental stability get better and they also become better learners and thinkers. 2. The support that the author uses to support the argument is that there are families who fill their kids with schedules. The schedules can be get-smart videos and enrichment activities. The parents most likely fill their children with schedules because they want them to excel in life. This support came from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
