Jerod Lane Cultural Diversity Essay on Lakota Woman Essay #2 March 20, 2010 Insecure Emotions When an individual is raised around uncharted society and faces issues of stress and tense the wear and tear on ones emotional mind will start to deteriorate and make them unsure of themselves. These events mentioned with fundamental facts I believe is what has like a dark night blackened Mary Crow Dogs self pride and having a self of secure emotions about herself. She has been abused in many aspects of her life all throughout her life so she really does not know who she is or what is the right and wrong way of how to express oneself. From a young age the characteristics described by Mary has been reflected from a prejudiced discriminator teaching by modeling the wrong role of a woman and further beyond that to be ashamed of one’s ethnicity that makes us humans unique in a very diverse world. From the beginning of her life Mary was scarred with the absence of her mother walking out on her and having not being cradled in her arms but being born “among Crazy Horses people(9). I take into considerate also that it was because she had to take a job far away but I would feel very
