CMPS260 Fall 2006 Assignment #4 The Christmas List (Version 2 all changes are in bold italics) Due date: Submission Sunday November 12 th @ 10:00 p.m. Folder In lab Tuesday November 14 th It is getting close to Christmas and we need a little help with our shopping. We need a program to keep track of the people on our Christmas list and the things we buy for them. Write a program to do the following: Input data about the people we are shopping for. Then input data about the things we have bought for them. After the data is collected, allow the user to retrieve information to let them know how things are going so far. INPUT: There will be two data files used as input to the program. The first file will be called people.data . It will contain one record for each person we are buying gifts for this Christmas. The records can be in any order of priority. The record format is as follows: <priority(int)> <person name(string)> <gender(char)> <spending limit(int)> Example data records: 3 Harry M 25 1 Jane F 50 2 Betty F 10 The second file will be called purchases.data .
