Associated Student of Saint Louis University Student Government Association Senate Bill (SB) – 045-11 February 23 rd , 2011 Intent and purpose: To charter NAACP as a Chartered Student Organization under the Student Government Association. Whereas, SGA has the authority to vote on chartering student organizations that come before Senate, Whereas, the National Association for the Advancement of Color People, hereafter referred to as NAACP, has successfully completed their probationary status under the Committee for Student Organizations, Whereas, NAACP fills a unique niche on this campus as a social justice organization whose purpose is to assist those dealing with civil rights issues, Whereas, NAACP has shown to be a sustainable organization with 45 dues-paying members and an executive board of mainly sophomores, Whereas, NAACP has already been recognized as a chapter of the national organization of NAACP,
