Quote of the Week: “Sometimes it’s the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.”  –Keri Russell Associated Students of Saint Louis University Student Government Association 38 th General Assembly Meeting No. 023-11 April 6 th , 2011 Agenda I. Call to Order II. Opening Prayer III. Roll Call IV. Approval of the Minutes V. Approval of the Agenda VI. Open Forum a. National public health week, and pledge NO phones while driving. b. Wrist bands were given, and the RHA spring formal is April 8 th in West Pine Gym. $3 per person or $5 for a couple c. Students for life is holding their art show next week, in BSC 251 at 6:30-8:30 on Tues- day. The displays will be up until Thursday in the same room. d. Next Friday is the 17 th annual graduate student association reception. e. Next Wednesday is at 7pm is Dr. Seth Wanye; he will be speaking in the St. Louis room. f. Yesterday was TOMS day without shoes. Beta Theta Pi philanthropy week is this week. This weekend, the Billiken Men’s soccer game is playing. g. ISF is collaborating with the Greek community and they will be folding 1,000 paper cranes. h. Registration is open for a student for life’s run/walk. It’s at the clock tower, and registra- tion is only $15, all proceeds go toward pregnant students at SLU. The race is April 30 th . i. This week is Atlas week; go to the events! j. Beta Theta Pi is making food tomorrow at the clock tower; all proceeds go toward the philanthropy. k. Irene Kahn (spelling) is speaking tomorrow at 5:30 in the BSC wool ballroom. VII. Special Business VIII. New Business a. (SB) – 055-11 Vice President Vandenberg Bill to confirm and seat 2 Student government Association Senators i. END QUESTIONS ii. DEBATE iii. Black- Strike Tommy’s name from the bill. iv. Garcia-Lorca- It was weird to have a “senator” sitting on the floor last week when they were not appointed. v. END DEBATE vi. VOTE

(SB) – 054-11 Senator Grillot Bill to amend the Association’s Bylaws to Adjust the Qualifications for Vice President of International Affairs i. Introduction from the author. ii. This bill does not guarantee that a domestic student will not win the election, and the process of impeachment still stands. A student would not campaign for two months for a position that they do not car about. The goal of inclusion should also be stressed here; having the possibility of closing the bridge between do- mestic students and international students would close if a domestic student was
