M E M O R A N D U M TO: ADV 318J Students FROM: Sarah Bovagnet, Michael Breighner, Erin Cutchen, Josh Glick, Tess Levitan, Melissa Martin, John Murphy and Chris Ramirez DATE: April 4, 2011 RE: Project 3 -- Analysis of a Print Advertisement The purpose of this memorandum is to describe a major project that each of you must complete individually. This project is worth 11% of your grade in the course and must be turned in before class outside Jester Auditorium -- no later than 3:30 -- on Monday, April 18, 2010 . Late = 0. You are encouraged to turn your paper in early to avoid a potential disaster. Since you are a rapidly developing expert on the subject of advertising, we would like your opinions regarding one of three magazine ads (Ford Fusion, Norway or T.RowePrice). These ads all appeared in a recent issue of The New Yorker .* Note that jpg color copies of these full-page sized ads are available on our Blackboard class website under Assignments. Note the demographics of readers of The New Yorker
