Park Plaza Hospital Case Study 2 Park Plaza Hospital Case Study Introduction Park Plaza Hospital is a privately owned, 374-bed facility with a surgical suite of nine operating rooms in Houston, Texas. These operating rooms are reserve by the physicians in one week advance with the surgical privileges at the hospital. Before any operation, the schedule of the surgery is confirmed on two occasion for the assignments of necessary medical staff and preparation of necessary supplies and equipments for that specific surgery. As the whole process of scheduling of a surgery requires proper planning and arrangements of requires supplies on time, the Part Plaza Hospital needs a Manufacturing Resource Planning to ensure that these required supplies arrive at the proper place i.e. the correct operating room at the proper time, correctly assigned by surgical procedure and physician, and that appropriate and accurate inventory levels are maintained.
