Dear Board of Registered Nursing,
I am writing this letter to inform the Board of Registered Nursing regarding a past
misdemeanor act that I was guilty of. The incident occurred in 2008 when I was arrested for
shoplifting. Unlike most of the shoplifting incidences which occur due to issues such as drug
addiction, to make a living, psychological temptation and mental health disorders among others,
my case was different considering I was involved due to hanging out with the wrong crowd.
Besides having a full-time job as a medical assistant, I was single living with my parents and did
not pay any bills. However, I was going through a difficult time with my family and this made
me choose to hang out with friends. Spending a lot of the time with them made me constantly
