RESULTS For different flowrates, we measure the pressure drop in specified parts of the rough pipe with, flow nozzle, orificemeter, pitot tube and manometer in this experiment. Our data obtained from the experiment is given in the data sheet. For sample calculation we take the first data. The mass flowrate is calculated from the time needed to fill the bucket. The mass of the water – filled bucket is known so; kg m 690 , 14 = (water – filled bucket) s t 54 = (time cosumed to fill the bucket for the first run) s g t m m 272 54 690 , 14 = = = (Eqn3.1) The corresponding mass flowrates for the other data are calculated with the same procedure and found values are given in the table.
