Job Stress healthcare cost about $344 Billion/yr.  Saves on costs of turnover rates, recruiting and retention costs. Employees who are satisfied with their work-life balance are 33 percent less likely to leave their current organization than their peers who are not satisfied(Herbert, 2010).  Prevents employees from making costly mistakes and errors. 5/2/11 Flexible Work Schedules Compressed Work Week Pros  Employees receive a three-day weekend  Less commute/travel time to and from work  Maintain full time schedule  Organization can save money by closing one day each week Cons  10 hours or more per day can get lengthy  Shortens work week and number of days to complete projects  Difficult to accommodate child care or other family time issues  May create chronic fatigue or chronic stress 5/2/11 Telework/Telecommute Telework is were employees perform various aspects Pros  Employer sets up networking solutions and usually provides supplies  The employee usually works from home and at the office  Can boost work productivity Cons  Some employees may not be able to maintain focus  Employers have difficulty keeping people accountable  Can also cause poor relationships between employers and employees 5/2/11...
