Barbara Brandmire Once upon a time, there was a young woman, by the name of Alice, who was starting her first day of college life. She had graduated at the top of her class and was known as a very quiet girl. Alice was always very focused in High School because her parents insisted on only the best out of her. She studied every night of her life from the time she entered 9th grade until she graduated at the age of 18. She spent the summer before her first year of college preparing herself for what was to come. She got a scholarship to go to Harvard, which was a huge accomplishment for a girl like her. Alice grew up in a small town in the middle of Texas where there was only one stop light and a General Store. She was the first person to actually go to college in her whole family. As she walked up to the doors of the school, she thought about all of the things that had brought her to this place. This opportunity to make something great of herself. Alice thought to herself that she had spent so much time preparing for this so she must be ready for anything.
