5/2/11 Only “New” Character The only new character(s) that I could find of importance are the emphasis of the Vera Cruz girl(s). The girl(s) play an important role in bringing out the jealous passion in Mrs. Pontellier which Aclee Arobin picks up and uses to stir up Edna even more.
