Deliverable: Hardcopy printout of your function file, datasmooth.m. Upload your m- file to your Faculty Instructor’s Assignment Drop Box on Blackboard. 3. User-Defined Function – Modifying a Matrix This is to be completed individually. This problem is part of your homework grade. A user wants to modify the elements in an array based upon the following rules: i. Double the value of the element if it is positive and divisible by a user specified value. ii. Square the value of the element if it is negative. iii. Use the original value for the elements that are not modified in steps i. or ii. For example: Input: A = 2 2 0 3 4 13 - Output: new_array = array_ yourlogin (A,2) = 0 3 13 4 4 8 (red indicates values that changed) 1. Create a user-defined function, named array_ yourlogin .m, that checks each element in the array and apply the rules listed above. The input arguments are the N by M array and the user specified value; the output is the modified array. Your function should: a. Under the Input Section, determine the dimensions of the input array. b.
