Purpose: To explore each of Newton’s laws by using the Dynamics carts and applying varying forces to it  or by changing the mass and how these correlate to velocity and time. Theory:  In this experiment we are testing the first and second of Newton’s Laws A. An object at rest will remain at rest unless it is acted upon by another force. B./C. If there are no net forces acting on an object it will remain at a constant velocity.   Procedure: A. Newton’s First Law a. No Force Applied Place the cart 15 cm from the sensor and click start. Data stops recording after 3 seconds. b. Friction Block Place the friction block in the top of the cart and turn the cart over 15 cm  in front of the sensor.  Click ‘start’ and wait one second before pushing the cart in the opposite  direction of the sensor. Data stops recording after 3 seconds.  c. Low Friction Cart
