Nettles 1 Jeffrey Nettles Laurie Pattillo ENC 1101 13Z 09/29/2007 Oil Change With today’s economy the way it currently is, it is very expensive to afford those extra luxuries that were so easy and economical before. To do any type of maintenance on your car is costing a fortune these days. You can cut a lot of these costs down by doing something as little as changing your own oil. This one little task can cut your expenses down drastically with little work. Think about all the cost of getting your oil change done. Everything from the gas you’d have to burn to get to the repair shop to the extremely high cost of professional labor to perform the work. All you need for this task includes, but is not limited to, a ratchet set, an oil filter socket, a new oil filter, 4 – 5 quarts of oil, a drain pan and some clean towels. First, the most important thing you will need to do is make sure the car is in park and the vehicle is turned off. Those two things can save you from injury or even death.
