There is a need for proper relationship between police and the community because if there was not a good relationship between the police and community then there would be more chaos then there already is. The advantages are if the police have a good rapport with the community then they are trusted. People will tend to go to the police when they have information on crimes and other things. The disadvantages are that many cities don’t have a good rapport with the communities in which they patrol and protect people don’t trust them and don’t report crimes. Though if they get to close to people in the community can be bad as well, the reason I believe this is many times police get to involved and still they are not trusted. In many African American communities police don’t have a good rapport with police due to various unfair action preformed by white police in their communities. Though improvements are being made many people in these communities don’t think that changes are being made fast enough. The African Americans have
