Brittany Wertman What was it that Elvis did or what reasons account for the enormity of his impact? Elvis Presley arrived into this world before the world was ready to accept him. He paved the road for many of our famous Rock and Rolls Artists today. Without a doubt, I believe that Elvis Presley could be categorized as a culture hero ( a mythological hero specific to some group who changes the world through invention or discovery . ) Culture heroes are also characterized as people who are legendary to the human race; they really make their mark in society. Elvis is a legend, in and of himself, as well as the creator behind the history of rock and roll, combined with gospel and rhythm and blues. The myth behind this legend will forever be questioned but never answered. In mythology studies, the culture hero is also directly related with the trickster ( someone who plays tricks or otherwise disobeys normal rules and conventional behavior. ) This also fits the role of one Elvis Presley.
