Evaluation Rubric for Writing Assignment #2: Cover Letter Content must demonstrate the following: The salutation is correctly written, and the letter shows correct business letter format. The opening paragraph provides context, shows enthusiasm and initiative, and asserts your desire for the position. The body demonstrates qualifications for the internship through specific, concrete examples -- not vague testimonial language. Don’t just write, “I am motivated.” You must demonstrate precisely how, in the past, you have proven that you are motivated. Give detailed experience and achievements.
