Code of Sexual Ethics Paper (COSE) Due: 4/21/2011 Submit on Blackboard by 11 a.m. Bring Hard Copy to class The focus of your final paper is your choice of five principles about sexuality . This assignment is both highly personal and substantively referenced. As with all aspects of this course, there is no pressure to share information that would make you uncomfortable. You are in control of what and how much you want to disclose. Per our confidentiality agreement, binding on professor and student alike, your work will be held in confidence. The format and content of this paper is based upon the historic tradition of ethical wills. The ethical will is described below to give you a sense of the tenor and goals of this paradigm. Please follow the specific rubric for this paper, while keeping the background of ethical wills in mind. Also, a creative approach in presenting your ideas is encouraged. Introduction and Background Information Ethical wills serve to express the values, ideals, moral conduct and ethical guidance of one generation to the next. A regular will deals with material inheritance. The ethical will is a family legacy that includes a number of considerations: History of the family, community and world Cultural and ethnic norms and values Religious and spiritual guidance Family morals and values Educational goals Ethical wills provide advice about many possible issues: Relationships Business Children Finances Religion Education Ethnicity Community service The Code of Sexual Ethics
