Although I greatly appreciate the money, I would like to ask for another $25 a week so I can live a little more comfortably. Remember how much I eat? Food for me costs a lot of money. With $50 a week, sure I can eat great but this money also has to give me gas and enough left over for relaxation and entertainment on the weekend. If you wouldn’t mind giving another $25 a week for your son to enjoy college a little more, I would greatly appreciate it. I understand that you are trying to teach me how to properly mange my money and I agree with you that this could help me in life; however $50 a week might be a little low for this day in age. I don’t have the luxuries such as your famous and delicious cooking. I also have to buy simple things like toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, coffee, etc. These simple things, I have found out, add up to a lot per week. When you add up my meals on the weekend and all of these necessities, it adds up to about $50. This leaves me nothing for entertainment on the weekends. Though I am asking for money for entertainment, I want you to understand that this is an essential part to me succeeding in college. Relaxation on the weekends is key to being prepared for the week ahead. I believe I will do better in school and have a better college experience if you agreed to send me another $25 a week.
