Inherently safer chemistry for Accident prevention - Henry Ford : used soy protein cross-linked with formaldehyde to produce a plastic, which was used instead of metal for cars. -caseine-formaldehyde is also a plastic material which was used in the past, but never considered “green” -soy oil can produce polyols, which can make polyurethane . E.g soy polyurethane insulation ; polyurethane derived from soy oil rather than petroleum is greener. -soy protein can be used to make glue. Most glues are derived from petroleum.
