Violet Maka Ecology and Evolution Toepfer August 21, 2009 Ecology and Evolution The current case study pertaining to finches and iguanas relates to how organisms in their environment are affected by outside factors and how they adapt to altering conditions. According to last year’s Molecular Biology class, Ecology is the study of the organisms in their specific environment. And Evolution goes hand in hand with Ecology since Evolution refers to the adaptation process these organisms have to undergo when their environment is altered. More importantly, Charles Darwin’s evolution theory and the idea of Darwinism is the foundation of Ecology and Evolution. In molecular biology, the instructor discussed the various levels or organisms. First, there is an extremely small object like an atom and each level the object becomes larger into something multi-cellular.
