Unit 3 – Assignment 2 2 Unit 3 – Assignment 2 / BUS207 Business Ethics I personally believe that it is an employer’s right to require mandatory drug testing for every employee and all management. It is a right for an employer to maintain a drug free work place; this entitles them to know if an employee is taking a medication that could impair their ability to perform the job that they were hired to do. This is especially relevant in jobs that involve public safety. An employee has a right for privacy but this right is superseded by an employer’s right to protect its customers and business assets. This does not mean that an employer has a right to know about every type medication that an employee is taking, just the medication that impairs the employee’s ability to perform their specific job duties. An example of this is allergy
