CheckPoint:The Official Language Movement 2 U.S. English aims to promote the use of English as the official language of the United States. The U.S. English Foundation and the U.S. English, Inc are two organizations in which their main concern in making English the primary language of the United States. The U.S English Foundation provides financial funds to immigrants to help them learn English, providing funded allows for immigrants to better themselves with all the advantage to speaking English here in the United States. The U.S. English Foundation and the U.S. English, Inc are opposed to bilingual politics and education by wanting the United States to be solely English spoken. These two organizations are providing surveys of American and Puerto Rican citizens in which proves that Puerto Ricans are willing to learn English, but Americans are resistant to making Puerto Rico the fifty-first state because the majority of citizens do not speak English
