I am sorry for the delayed post, work is really killing me. Though it’s a poor excuse here is my review. The reading assigned included two stories, “ The Tell-Tale Heart ,” “ The Cask of Amontillado.” I started our assignment by reading the “ The Tell-Tale Heart” followed by The Cask of Amontillado.” In “ The Tell-Tale Heart ,” Poe begins his introduction paragraph with an insight to the end. From reading the story a couple times I think it’s apparent that the butler/ assistant of the “old man” is narrating. The story read, the servant of the old man had developed a vast hatred for “blue filmed eye” on the “old mans” face. The narration was a key role in painting a picture to go along with the story. Poe created a great story from beginning to end by capturing the reader in the first paragraph. I found that the “ The Tell-Tale Heart ,” was a much easier read then the next, The Cask of Amontillado.” In “ The Cask of Amontillado,” Poe yet again sets the story with a great
