Select foods from a variety of choices and then review a report on how closely you were able to match your intake goals for saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, and calories. After analyzing the nutritional value of your typical daily diet, describe the areas in which you need improvement by answering the questions below. 1. Is your fat intake too high? Yes my fat intake is way too high. I should aim for only 30-35% of my fat to avoid too high an intake of carbohydrates.

What are the steps you could take to improve your diet? Fix the way my food is prepared so I lower the amount of saturated fat, cholesterol and calories. Also choose foods that say "reduced sodium," "sodium free," and "no salt added" on the food label. As well to choose foods that are naturally lower in cholesterol, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat and nonfat dairy products and lean meats.
