Reason was because Cyrus was becoming more and more powerful 3. Assageiuse becomes a visor to Cyrus on how to rule v. Cryisis was told to cross the river and a kingdomwill fall 1. Ends up it was his kingdom, Cyrus defests his army, puts cryisis on a pyre but then extinguishes it after cryisis talks about someone telling him to cross the river 2. Cyrus recruits to his visor b. Cambyses i. Lost army in desert in Egypt ii. Unknown to what happened to him c. Darius i. Builds bridge about a river 1. Attacks thesis ii. 494 – Sends an army to settle a dispute, army is defeated at marathon iii. Randomly dies before he can attack agrain d. Xerxes i. Comes into power during a revolt in Egypt 1. Settles that ii. Wants to get revenge on the Greeks
