If you have ever heard the word ‘wall’ and automatically the taste of a big juicy steak entered your brain, or if you have ever heard a guitar playing and suddenly the vision of a triangle was elicitedappeared in your mind, then you are deeply familiar with the various forms of synesthesia. However, due to the minimal research and funding that this intriguing psychological process receives nationally, it is to be assumed that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is not as well acquainted with the processes of synesthesia as it should be. Through the Department of Neuroscience increasing the funding on research of synesthesia at UNC, UNC would be able to act as a pioneer on furthering discovery within synesthesia, which is becoming an increasingly well- established psychological process. Money should be allocated toward researching synesthesia at UNC because through research being conducted on synesthesia, other psychological processes would be explored due to the interconnectedness, furthermore it
