Then answer the following questions; your response should be a total of 300-400 well-chosen words. 1. What do you think went wrong? Clearly, no one thought of the cultural differences between the two vastly different locales. Uniform training programs may work well for computer systems and procedural issues, but people coming from different places, even within the US, cannot be assumed to have the same set of values. Also, asking attendees to participate in role-playing with such a sensitive issue would be a risk anywhere, not just the Muslim world. Although this major issue was overlooked by the corporation, there was still an opportunity to “run it by” some of the locals. Likely they would have still expressed shock or been offended, but the error in judgment would have been caught before
