This topic was selected because of the impact it has on its victim, perpetrators and societal groups. Violence whether directly or indirectly impacts the lives of many knowingly or not. If society is to contend or possible defeat such a foe, violence must first be understood, acknowledged and respected as the destructive force that it has proven itself to be. The approach or perspective of this paper will be analytic and informative by nature of the conclusion of the findings. The scope of this paper will include groups directly impacted by domestic violence and some of the groups that those directly involved in domestic violence are members of and the indirect impact of domestic violence on these groups.
