How do you know which you use? As Rene Descartes noted, we think therefore we are. What makes us human is the ability to think and formulate our own opinions about everything and anything. In any written or spoken material, the author of the article, book or speech will share her or his opinion on various issues in the form of conclusions. The question is, will you just read and agree, listen and just nod, or will you try to decipher and question the author’s reasoning, verify the information provided for accuracy, research further about the topic being exposed and eventually make up your own opinion whether it concurs or differs from the original one? My grandfather used to tell me not to take anything for granted knowledge without logic and reasoning skills is like a car without fuel, it looks good but it will not take you anywhere. I
