1A. Describe the phases of the system development life cycle. Use a specific example in your description. There are usually five distinct phases in the system development cycle: the planning, the analysis, the design, the implementation and the operation, support and security. During the planning phase, we review the project requests and prioritize them before allocating resources and forming a project development team. The analysis phase consists of conducting preliminary investigations and performing detailed analysis activities such as the study of the current system, the evaluation of the user requirements and the recommendation of solutions. The design phase is characterized by the acquisition of hardware and software and the system details development. During the fourth phase, also called implementation, programs are developed, the new system is installed and tested, users are trained and the old system id converted to the new one. Finally, the
