ANSC 324 Spring 2007 Laboratory Exercise #1 Due Date: IN LAB (no point value) In Class Examples: 1) Formulate a diet, using corn and SBM (47.5% CP), for a 120 lb. pig that meets the CP requirement using the Pearson Square method. 2) Check your answer from problem #1. 3) Formulate a diet for a 40 lb. pig, using corn and SBM (43.8% CP), that meets the CP requirement using the Algebraic method. 4) Calculate the Lys, P, and ME content of this diet. 5) Formulate a diet for a 65 lb. pig to meet the CP requirement. Use corn and SBM (dehulled) to formulate the diet, but allow 3.5% space in the diet for premixes, limestone, and dicalcium phosphate.
