PIB 9 LA Poetry Project Poets List Read at least 3 different poems from 10 different authors, but read more if you can. You may not do poems in translation or Shel  Silverstein, sorry  . Explore. Don’t just read the poets you already know for this project. Try something new. Consider the suggested  authors and titles below. Check your home, the library (yea books!), ebsco, poets.org, Poetry 180, famouspoetsandpoems.com, poetryfoundation.org,  poetryarchive.org, and poetryoutloud.org, for starters.  Keep track of the poems you read, and take notes. Which poems and poets do you like best and why? What do you notice about  particular poets and poems? The better notes you take the easier the subsequent assignments will be.  1. A.R. Ammons: “Still” or “Silver” 2. Margaret Atwood: “Landcrab” 3. W.H. Auden: “Funeral Blues” 4. William Blake: “London” or “The Chimney Sweeper” 5. Philip Booth: “After the Rebuilding”
