Unformatted text preview: LA11: American Literature and Composition Block day, September 23rd, 24th Block day, September 23 , 24 rd th Today's Objectives: Students will continue working with the writing process as they edit and revise their persuasive essays. Students will practice persuasive skills, oral presentation skills, and use of evidence as support. Block day, September 23 , 24 rd Today's Agenda: th Computer Lab (out by 2:00) Break/Transition to Classroom (back by 2:05) Class Discussion/Question: what did you want to cover with regards to the end of the novel? Oral Presentation: Persuasive Book Review Begin Presentations at 2:45 Note To Absent Students Get the oral presentation guidelines (they are on my website). You will have to schedule a time to do your oral presentation with me (yours will be shorter- 2-3 minutes- since you are working alone) Keep working on your essay: DUE MONDAY! Announcements/Reminders Catcher in the Rye Paper is Due on Monday!! You will get your ICWs back on Friday. Grades will be posted on Friday, 10/2. You can re-write and re-submit your ICW any time before Friday, Dec. 4th. Catch Her in the Oatmeal Extra Credit still an option. YOU CAN ONLY RECEIVE EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY MISSING WORK.
