Unformatted text preview: PreIB 10: World Literature and Composition Tuesday, October 20th Tuesday, October 20th Today's Objectives: Students will become familiar with various themes presented in Macbeth. Students will begin to annotate for various themes in preparation for a thematic presentation. Students will practice reading with oral fluency to demonstrate understanding of character actions, motivations, and plot. Tuesday, October 20th Today's Agenda: Collect Dante Journals Theme Presentation explanation and theme annotation choices Begin Reading Act I Note to Absent Students Read Act 1 You will need to see me to sign up for a theme to annotate for. Tuesday, October 20th Themes for annotation in Macbeth: Ambition Evil Order and Disorder Appearance vs. Reality Equivocation Violence and Tyranny Guilt and Conscience Gender Roles Take a few minutes and review each of these themes. Then on a note card, write your name and the top three themes you are interested in tracking.
