1 EECS 215 W08 Problem Set #2 Assigned: Friday, 18-Jan-2008 (No Class Monday, 21-Jan-2008) Due: Monday, 28-Jan-2008 Homework is due at the beginning of lecture. Reading Assignment: Alexander and Sadiku, 3 rd Edition, Chapter 1, 2, 3 General Advice on Homework: 1. Start early. Don’t wait until the night before the due date! 2. Be sure to draw the circuit and label it properly with reference directions for currents and reference polarities for voltages. 3. Show all the important steps in your calculation. 4. Textbook problems are from the course textbook, “Fundamentals of Electric Circuits,” 3 rd . The individual problem statements follow on the next pages. 1. A&S3 3.24 – Use nodal analysis to determine the values for the three non-reference node voltages ( v 1 , v 2 , v 3 ) indicated with the circuit in Fig. 3.73. For the reference node, use the bottom node connected to all 1 Ω and 2 Ω resistors. Figure 3.73 of A&S3
