Kmart’s Strategy Innovation and creativity have had an impact on the manner in which Kmart’s corporation plans business strategy. At times the impact has been negative, for example the bankruptcy the organization experienced for not being creative on how to incorporate to their stores the Internet for shoppers to shop online. They did not make good use of their innovation skills either, failing to figure a way to have low-prices more often. However, with the exemption of the previously mentioned, they have certainly been innovators and creative to maintain a corporation for so many decades. Kmart has innovated along the years, re-structuring the organization base on the customers need. For Kmart the customer is and has always been the priority, and the main reason to re-strategize the way they do business (Sears Holdings, 2010) They were innovators, with the blue light special inside the store, which basically announced out of the ordinary sales for the customers when the light when on.
